Balcones Geotechnical is a Central Texas engineering firm specializing in complex geotechnical projects.
Serving both the public and private sectors, Balcones Geotechnical brings extensive knowledge of the complex geology of the Austin and San Antonio region to support civil design and construction projects. Principal John Wooley founded the firm in 2013 following an extensive career as an executive and senior technical consultant with Fugro Consultants. The firm’s staff of experts excels at finding solid solutions for projects locally, regionally and statewide. Balcones Geotechnical is certified as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE). In addition, the firm holds a number of pre-certifications from the Texas Department of Transportation.
