John Wooley founded Balcones Geotechnical PLLC in 2013 after an extensive career with Fugro Consultants. His extensive geotechnical experience garnered during the past 40 years includes responsibility for engineering surveillance and construction materials testing services, both integrated with geotechnical services.
Rebecca A. Russo, P.E.
President
Rebecca Russo has more than 28 years’ experience in conducting and managing geotechnical investigations, design and construction phase testing, and forensic engineering projects. She joined Balcones Geotechnical in 2014 as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and assumed an ownership role as President in January 2018.
David R. Mason, PG
Vice President
Mr. Mason’s 42 years of experience includes extensive project planning, management, coordination and training of field and laboratory technicians, sampling and logging of geotechnical soil, rock and water specimens, field and laboratory testing of construction materials (soil, concrete, steel and asphalt), and interpretation of laboratory analytical data.

Austin Wooley joined Balcones Geotechnical in 2014 with 10 years of field experience gained from Fugro Consultants where he was part of many major site investigation campaigns for large infrastructure, transportation, energy, and oil & gas projects.
